International Webinar-Symposium on “The -Omics Revolution in Medicine and Health Sciences”

The inaugural UniSZA International Webinar-Symposium on “The -Omics Revolution in Medicine and Health Sciences” to be held on 7 – 8 December 2021 is hosted by the Centre for Research In Infectious Diseases and Biotechnology (CeRIDB) at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). This webinar-symposium is also co-hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Informatics and Computing, and the Faculty of Bioresources and Food Industry in UniSZA.

This fully online webinar-symposium on the Cisco-WebEx platform, will showcase a total of 18 distinguished speakers from Australia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom as well as the host country, Malaysia. The speakers will cover various aspects of the impact that genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc. (i.e., the -omics technologies) has had on medicine and the health sciences. These talks will be arranged in themed sessions such as “Pathogen Genomics”, “Human Genomics”, “-Omics in Cancer Research” and “Genomics in Food Microbiology and Food Safety” over the two full days of the symposium.
