INBOUND MOBILITY @ FBIM FROM INDONESIA AND HUNGARY

We were thrilled to welcome 10 students from three international universities to Besut, who participated in the physical segment of our mobility program from 5th to 11th of August 2024. The students, hailing from Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Indonesia). Thesis enrolled in ABT12201 (Biodiversity), a course offered during the short semester here at FBIM. The program saw 7 students from Universitas Airlangga, 2 from Hungary, and 1 from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta actively engaged in a variety of enriching activities. Over the week, they attended three laboratory sessions focused on herbarium preparation, insect identification, and aquatic life exploration. The students also embarked on two exciting field trips, visiting Lata Belatan and Pulau Redang, where they explored Terengganu’s rich biodiversity and collected samples.

    In addition to academic activities, the group had the opportunity to explore the cultural side of Terengganu with a full-day tour of Kuala Terengganu. They visited the state museum and shopped at Pasar Kedai Payang, immersing themselves in local traditions and lifestyle. It was truly heartwarming to witness the excitement and dedication of these students, and we were equally delighted to host them. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Nabil, Rehan, Muadz, Hendra, Suhud, Saif, Fithri, Eristha, Athirah, and Syahirah for the unforgettable memories. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors!
